Hacking a windows xp sp2 box with .wmf Below is a link to a video tutorial that shows how an unsecure windows xp box can be hacked over a local area network. In this video I show you how to use ARP poisoning and DNS spoofing in a real attack against a windows xp sp2 box. It will also work equaly for windows 2003 and vista! So check it out! I use the metasploit framework to generate and host a .wmf file that when viewed by a vulnerable system, will force shellcode to execute on their system will make them connect back to me and issue a command prompt. To get them to view the file I spoof their DNS requests to my server, where I use javascript to redirect them to the page. I then deface the index.html file of their website via the command prompt. Download the vide (10mb) NOTE: The metasploit framework is whats known as an exploit development framework, and is use to develop and test exploit code against vulnerable systems. It comes preloaded with over a hundred exploits, includes a shellcode generator and has many intresting features including a web interface and a command line interface. Check it out here
